Men's Golf Posts 593 On Day One Of Charleston Southern Invitational

Charleston, S.C. - Senior captain Will Shriver shot an opening round 69 and ended Day One of the Charleston Southern Invitational with a 141 as Loyola posted a 593 to start their final fall event of the year. The Greyhounds are in eighth place with one round left to play.

Shriver's 141 puts him in a tie for third place overall while sophomores Michael Mulieri and Blake Furgerson hold Top-20 spots with round of 147 and 148 respectively. Mulieri posted a one-under 71 in his second round of the day while Furgerson registered round of 73-75.

Junior Matt Bassler ended the day with a 158 while Chris Derby shot a 159 to round out the Greyhound scoring. South Carolina leads the field with a two-round 578; Jacksonville and Charleston Southern round out the top three.
