Golfers Wrap Up Second Round Of ODU/OBX Collegiate

POWELLS POINT, N.C. - The Loyola University Maryland golf team completed the second round of the ODU/OBX Collegiate Monday and enters the third and final round in 15th place with an aggregate score of 620.

Junior Brendan Lemp improved five spots from his finish yesterday, shaving two shots off his round score and finishing today with a 73. He currently stands tied for 20th with a 4-over 148.

Classmate Andrew McGill is second for Loyola with an 11-over 155, after shooting a 77 today, while freshman Keegan Boone is tied for 53rd overall at 13-over 157.

Junior Jonathon Ross carded an 83 today to enter the final round tied for 71st with a score of 16-over 160 and senior Will Handley is tied for 81st at 19-over 163.

Radford’s Weston Eklund shaved nine strokes off his score to join Georgia Southern’s Scott Wolfes atop the leaderboard. The duo is tied for the lead at 7-under 137, while VCU’s Jake McNulty is two strokes behind.

In the team standings, Georgia Southern leads the way with a 1-over 577. Radford is second at 6-over 582 and Old Dominion is third at 7-over 583.

Loyola will conclude the third and final round of play tomorrow.
