POWELLS POINT, N.C. - The Loyola University Maryland golf team is in a tie with Hofstra for 15th place following the first round of the fourth-annual Old Dominion/Outerbanks Invitational at Kilmarlic Golf Course on Sunday.
Sophomore Keegan Boone was Loyola's top finisher throughout the day, carding a 3-over 74, to sit tied for 30th.
Senior Brendan Lemp is one stroke behind Boone, and in a tie for 35th, while redshirt sophomore Fletcher Sokul and freshman Jimmy Dengler are tied at 70th with a 9-over 80. Freshman Matt Oshrine is tied for 82nd at 11-over 82.
Elon is at the top of the team leaderboard by three strokes, finishing the day at 2-over 286. Radford is second at 5-over 289, while Marshall, Hartford and Old Dominion are all tied for third at 6-over 290.
Individually, Marshall's Logal Lagodich shot a tournament-best 2-under 69 through the round to lead all competitors heading into the second round.
The Greyhounds will return to the course Monday morning for the second round. The third, and final, round is scheduled for Tuesday.
