Ethan Wall Tied For First Entering Final Round Of Fighting Irish Classic

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Loyola University Maryland junior Ethan Wall shot a 2-under 69 through the second round of today's Fighting Irish Gridiron Classic at Warren Golf Course to move into a four-way tie for first place following the first two rounds of Notre Dame's tournament.

Wall, Eastern Michigan's Nicholas Ross, Xavier's Daniel Wetterich and William & Mary's Will Stewart are all 3-under 139 heading into tomorrow's final round.

As a team, the Greyhounds are tied with Utah State for fifth, with both programs shooting 8-over 576 today.

Junior Connor Flach is second for Loyola, and tied for 19th overall, with a 2-over 144 (70-74) and sophomore Jeremy Wall is tied for 27th after shooting 4-over 146 (74-72) today.

Freshman Morgan Egloff is tied for 42nd at 7-over 149 (73-76), while junior Will Wears -- making his season debut -- is tied for 48th at 9-over 151 (77-74).

Notre Dame leads a narrow team race with a 1-over 569. St. Mary's (Calif.) is one stroke back at 2-over 570 and Wofford is another stroke back of that, at 3-over 571. DePaul sits fourth with a one-stroke advantage over Utah State and Loyola, while William & Mary is one stroke behind that, at 9-over 577.

The Greyhounds will return to the course Tuesday for the final round.
