Annapolis, Md. - The Loyola men's golf team opened the 2004-05 season with a round of 307 on Saturday at Navy's Fall Invitational. T.J. Shuart, the defending MAAC champion, paced the Greyhounds on Day One with an 18-hole score of 73.
The Greyhounds, with a team score 23 strokes above par, are tied with St. Bonaventure for 14th place overall. Princeton leads the field with a 296, George Washington is close behind with a 299 and Rutgers rounds out the Top-3 with a first round total of 300.
The Navy Fall Invitational concludes on Sunday with 18 holes on the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Course in Annapolis, Md.
