The Greyhounds combined for a 304, bettering their opening-round score by four strokes. However, New Mexico went on a tear, posting a Friday low of 291 to overtake both Loyola and SMU. Loyola dropped to 12th place (36-over, 612) and now lead Fresno State by five strokes and trails SMU by 12.
Top-seeded host Washington has taken a commanding lead with a 7-under 569 after two rounds, leading Illinois by 16 shots.
After opening with a 75 Thursday, McCormick's 74 puts him at 5-over (149) on the week. The sophomore will start the final round in a tie for 32nd, 10-shots off Darren Wallace of Washington's lead.
Redfearn's 74 moved him up nearly 10 spots in the standings and puts him tied for 48th with a 9-over 153.
Jay Mulieri tumbled from T15 to T44 with a 78 Friday. With his opening-round 72, Mulieri is currently 7-over on the week (151).
Jason Burton and Ryan McCarthy continued to struggle. Burton carded a 78 and is now 15-over (159) and tied for 69th. McCarthy went 86-82 for a 24-over total of 168. McCarthy is currently tied for 74th and will be the first to tee off in the final round. Loyola's final round pairing will include SMU and New Mexico.
