Men's Golf Slips To Fourth On Day Two Of MAAC Championships

Orlando, Fla. - The Loyola men's golf team posted a 316 on Day Two of the MAAC Championships in Orlando, Fla. and sit 15 strokes back with one round left to play. Freshman Michael Mulieri and sophomore Matt Bassler each scored rounds of 77 as the Greyhounds slipped to fourth place at Magnolia.

Mulieri, who came out firing on Day One with a tournament low 68, is alone in second place among all individuals and one stroke back of Iona's Kyle Underwood. Bassler is tied for 11th overall, as is teammate Will Shriver, who shot an 80 on Saturday. Both Bassler and Shriver have a 36-hole score of 158.

The third and final round of the MAAC Championships will begin Sunday morning from Magnolia Golf Course. Loyola has won the last three league titles, two of which took place at Magnolia.
