Wall Tied For Third, Golfers Fifth After One Round Of Hoosier Collegiate

COLUMBUS, Ind. - Junior Ethan Wall is tied for third place and the Loyola University Maryland golf team is in fifth after one round of the Hoosier Collegiate at Otter Creek Golf Club.

Wall carded a 1-under 71 through the first 18 holes of the 36-hole event to sit in a seven-way tie for third place and one stroke out of first. Valparaiso’s Peter Webb and IUPUI’s Rylan Porter are tied for the lead after shooting a pair of 70s.

Sophomore Bennett Wisner is second for Loyola, and tied for 14th overall, with a 1-over 73, while classmate Jeremy Wall is tied for 27th at 3-over 75.

Junior Connor Flach is tied for 46th overall with a 5-over 77 and senior Jimmy Dengler is tied for 62nd at 7-over 79.

As a team, Loyola is fifth at 8-over 296 and five strokes out of first place, as Purdue shot a 3-over 291 today to be atop the team leaderboard. Marquette and Ball State are tied for second at 5-over 293 and Indiana is fourth with a team score of 7-over 295.

The Greyhounds will return to action Sunday morning for the final 18 holes of the two-day event.
