Oshrine Tied For Third After Two Rounds Of Seahawk Intercollegiate

WILMINGTON, N.C. - Loyola University Maryland sophomore Matt Oshrine shot an even 144 through the first two rounds of the Seahawk Intercollegiate at the Country Club of Landfall's Nicklaus Course Sunday to finish the day tied for third overall.

Oshrine shot a 1-under 71 through the first round and a 1-over 73 on the second.

Classmate Connor Flach is second for the Greyhounds and tied for 25th overall. Flach recorded a 4-over 76 this morning and shaved three strokes off that score through the afternoon, finishing at 1-over 73, to enter the third round at 5-over 149.

Senior Bart George is tied for 40th overall with a 10-over 154 and holds a one-stroke advantage on junior Jimmy Dengler, who's tied for 49th at 11-over 155, and a two-stroke lead over freshman Jeremy Wall, who's tied for 54th at 12-over 156. George shot a 6-over 78 and 4-over 76, respectively, while Dengler shot an 8-over 80 through the first round and a 3-over 75 through the second. Wall hit 9-over 81 and then improved that to a 3-over 75.

Freshman Bennett Wisner, who's competing as an individual, is 73rd after shooting a 17-over 89 and 5-over 77, respectively. He has a two-round score of 22-over 166.

As a team, the Greyhounds are eighth overall with a 25-over 601.

Campbell leads the way at 8-over 584, followed by Army at 10-over 586 and Harvard at 12-over 588.

Individually, Army's Peter Kim and Georgia's Lee McCoy share the top spot, each entering the final round with a 2-under 142. Oshrine is two strokes back and tied with Campbell's Gaston Bertinotti, Elon's Charlie May, George Washington's Vince Palazzolo and South Dakota State's Grant Smith, all with an even 144.

Loyola will return to the course Monday morning for the third and final round.
