WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Loyola University Maryland golf team wrapped up competition at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate Tuesday at the Kingsmill Resort River Course in a tie for 14th place out of 29 teams. The Greyhounds combined to shoot a 901 through a cold and rainy three-day tournament.
Senior Ryan McCarthy led Loyola with a 4-over 75, finishing the tournament tied for 35th with a 10-over 223. Senior Jay Mulieri was second on the team, finishing tied for 43rd at 12-over 225. He carded a 76 through the final round.
Sophomore Cameron Liebert also carded a 76 through the final round, finishing his first tournament of the spring tied for 53rd at 13-over 226.
Sophomore Brendan Lemp finished his final trip through the course with a 79, carding a 227 for the tournament to finish tied for 60th overall, while junior Jonathan Ross shot an 82 on the final round. Ross finished tied for 113th overall at 236.
Loyola will return to action on Friday when it heads to Grasonville, Md., for the three-day Fireline Towson Invitational.
