Golfers 11th After Second Round Of C&F Bank Intercollegiate

The Loyola University Maryland golf team sits 11th out of 29 teams after the second round of the C&F Bank Intercollegiate at Kingsmill Resort River Course. Senior Ryan McCarthy and sophomore Brendan Lemp lead the Greyhounds after Monday’s round, currently sitting tied for 28th at 6-over 148.

McCarthy, entering the day in a tie for 68th place, carded a team-best 2-over 73 through the second round to improve upon his score of 75 from yesterday, while Lemp shot a 5-over 76 today.

Senior Jay Mulieri is one stroke behind his teammates at 7-over 149 after hitting a 78 today sits tied for 38th overall. Sophomore Cameron Liebert is fourth on the team with an 8-over 150, ranking him tied for 44th. Liebert shot a 4-over 75 through both rounds.

Junior Jonathon Ross rounds out the Greyhounds competing, as he shot a 79 today to stand tied for 87th overall at 154.

Loyola will return to the course tomorrow for the final round of action.
