WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Loyola University Maryland men's golf team finished the Kingsmill Intercollegiate at the Kingsmill River Course tied for seventh place Tuesday.
Junior Ethan Wall led the Greyhounds with an 8-over 218, placing him in a tie for 21st place after shooting 5-over 75 today, while classmate Connor Flach was two strokes back and tied for 34th at 10-over 220. Flach also shot 5-over 75 through the final round.
Sophomore Brendan Peel finished third for Loyola, and tied for 45th overall, after carding an 8-over 78 today to finish at 13-over 223.
Sophomore Bennett Wisner shot 6-over 76 today to complete the three rounds tied for 59th with a 15-over, while junior Will Wears finished tied for 92nd at 21-over 231. Wears recorded a 6-over 76 through today's round.
TCU's Paul Barjon earned medalist honors with a 7-under 203, while Tennessee's Chad Merzbacher and Penn State's Charles Huntzinger tied for runner-up with a pair of 5-under 205s.
Penn State captured the team title with a 5-over 845, while Tennessee was second at 10-over 850 and TCU was third at 15-over 850. The Greyhounds finished tied with Old Dominion for seventh at 44-over 884.
The Greyhounds return to action on Saturday, April 9, when they travel to Columbus, Indiana, for the two-day Hoosier Collegiate.
