Oshrine Moves Into Top-10 After Second Day Of Loyola Golf Invitational

Loyola University Maryland sophomore Matt Oshrine shaved seven strokes off his first round score to card a 4-under 68 through the second round of the Loyola Golf Invitational sponsored by the Neville Kovacs Group at the Palm Valley Golf Course on Monday to move up 35 places and into a tie for seventh place.

Senior Bart George, sophomore Connor Flach and freshman Jeremy Wall all carded 4-over 76s for the Greyhounds today, while Bennett Wisner finished at 6-over 78.

Through the two rounds, Flach and Wall are tied with seven others for 36th at 5-over 149, while George is one stroke back and tied for 45th overall.

Wisner is tied for 56th with sophomore teammate Will Wears, as the duo enters the third round at 8-over 152. Wears shot a 1-over 73 today to improve 22 places in the individual standings.

Utah Valley's J.T. Timmons and Brayden Eriksen lead the way with a 7-under 137 and a 4-under 140, respectively, while the Wolverines lead the team race at a 7-under 569. Gonzaga and Missouri are tied for second with at 6-over 582.

Loyola, tied with Missouri-Kansas City for sixth at 14-over 590, will return to the course Tuesday morning for the final round, a 10 a.m. ET shotgun start.
