Baltimore, Md. - The Greyhounds look to make it two in a row when the travel to Delaware this Saturday for a 1 p.m. game with the Blue Hens. Loyola, now 6-2, is coming off an 87-79 win over VMI on Thursday night and faces a Delaware team that is 2-0 at home this season.
Senior Andre Collins has paced the `Hounds to its quick start, leading the team with 24.3 points per game. Collins scored 34 points at VMI, making him the nation's fifth-leading scorer to date.
Collins and junior Hassan Fofana are Loyola's only two double-digit scorers this season. Fofana, who is averaging 16.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in his first two games with the Greyhounds, has been a presence inside, while Collins leads the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in three-point field goals with 31.
Saturday's game with be Loyola's third straight road contest and sixth road game of the season. The Greyhounds are 4-1 away from home, but Delaware has won two straight at the Bob Carpenter Center and enters the game with a 4-6 overall record.
The Blue Hens are led by Harding Nana, who is averaging 20.6 points and 12.1 rebounds per game. Like the Greyhounds, Delaware won on Thursday night, defeating Central Connecticut State, 79-73.
Last season at Loyola, Delaware escaped with a 63-60 victory behind 26 points from Andrew Washington. Charlie Bell led the `Hounds that night, scoring 16 points and pulling down a team-high nine rebounds.
