Coach Patsos and Jamal Barney Spread Christmas Cheer

Baltimore, Md. - Greyhounds head coach Jimmy Patsos and sophomore guard Jamal Barney spent Christmas Eve afternoon handing out presents and holiday cheer at the Cecil Kirk Community Center Christmas party. Barney is a graduate of the successul program run by Anthony "Dudie" Lewis.

Lewis and Cecil Kirk oversee one of the most successful AAU programs in the country. Among the players who have played and won championships under Lewis at Cecil Kirk are Barney, former Greyhound Gerald Brown, former Maryland Terrapin Juan Dixon, Connecticut Huskies Rudy Gay and Josh Boone and Reggie Lewis.

Situated in one of the toughest neighborhoods in East Baltimore, Lewis and Cecil Kirk are responsible for giving many of the youth in the area a way toward a college education and a better life through basketball.

The Greyhounds are off until Monday when they start a two-game stretch on Tobacco Road, opening with North Carolina State before playing at Duke Wednesday on ESPN2.
