Baltimore, Md. - The oldest rivalry in the history of the state of Maryland gets another chapter Saturday afternoon as the Greyhounds host Mount St. Mary's in a game being televised live on Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN). Johnny Holliday (play-by-play) and Billy Hahn (analyst) will provide the call.
These teams will meet for the 161st time on the hardwood in a series which dates back to 1909-10 when Loyola captured a 35-23 victory. Last year, The Greyhounds went to Emmitsburg and captured a 76-71 triumph, their fourth straight on the season. Andre Collins tallied a game-high 23 and Shane James added 12. Michael Tuck scored 11 and collected a game-high 10 rebounds.
The Greyhounds play the middle of three straight home games and are coming off a 75-63 victory Wednesday against Delaware in the home opener. The Mountaineers sit at 1-5 following a 68-65 home loss to Maine on Wednesday, having lost four contests in a row.
Loyola returns to action next Friday night when it hosts Saint Peter's College in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opener. Game time at Reitz Arena is slated for 7 o'clock.
