Greyhounds Ink Radio Deal With Baltimore's ESPN Radio 1300

Oct. 30, 2007

Baltimore, Md. - A minimum of 17 regular-season games plus postseason action of the Loyola Greyhounds Men's Basketball Team will appear on Baltimore's ESPN Radio 1300 as part of a deal that was announced today by Head Coach Jimmy Patsos. The schedule of games gets underway with the season opener at Towson on Friday, November 9, and continues through the season finale at Marist in March and into the MAAC Championships.

"We have increased our television exposure the last two seasons and the radio component was the next stage in the continued development of our program," Patsos said in making the announcement. "This increased package of games on ESPN Radio gives us unprecedented exposure in the Baltimore area."

Mark Zinno returns to call the play-by-play for the games and will be joined by a rotation of analysts during the season which will include former players and recognizable members of the media. A graduate of Loyola, Zinno is also part of "The Anita Marks Show" which airs during weekday afternoon drive on ESPN Radio 1300.

All games being carried on 1300 will continue to be available via the Loyola Athletics' website, www.loyolagreyhounds.com, as will all remaining home games and select road contests. The website broadcasts begin this Friday when the Greyhounds host Villa Julie in an exhibition contest at Reitz Arena beginning at 7:00 p.m.
