Men's Basketball To Again Receive National And Regional Television Exposure

Oct. 17, 2007

Baltimore, Md. - A minimum of nine regular-season Greyhounds games are scheduled for either national or regional television it was announced today by Loyola men's basketball coach Jimmy Patsos. In addition to those nine games, the Greyhounds are guaranteed additional exposures for every game in which they participate in the MAAC Championships in March.

Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) which provides regional sports coverage in the states of Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia, will produce four games and carry the MAAC TV production of the Niagara game on February 10. The veteran team of Johnny Holliday (play-by-play) and Kevin Grevey (analyst) will be the primary announcing tandem for the MASN productions.

"Once again, the opportunity to appear on television is an important element of marketing our program and we are reaching those goals with our increased television exposures," Patsos said. "MASN is a key component in that equation and we are fortunate to have that relationship."

In addition to the five MASN games, the Greyhounds are appearing twice on ESPNU, once on the Big Ten Network and once on CN-8, a regional channel that stretches from Boston down through Virginia.

The complete schedule is as follows:

11-13 7:00 pm American (MASN)
11-18 5:30 pm Vermont (MASN)
11-25 12:00 pm at Philly Classic (CN-8)
