ESPN.com Names G.G. Smith To 'New Hires Positioned For Success'

Aug 26, 2013

ESPN.com writer Myron Medcalf wrote a story today about 10 college basketball head coaches around the nation who are in new jobs for the 2013-2014 season and enter their tenures in a position to succeed.

Among the 10, Medcalf listed Loyola University Maryland's new head coach, G.G. Smith, as one of those primed for success.

Smith was elevated to head coach of the Greyhounds after spending the last six years as an assistant coach on the Evergreen campus. He has been on the bench as Loyola won 62 games the last three seasons and advanced to postseason play in back-to-back years (2012-2013) for the first time in the program's NCAA Division I history.
