Greyhounds Attend Harold Pump Cancer Foundation Dinner

Northridge, Calif. - Loyola men's basketball coach Jimmy Patsos and Greyhounds Dan Ficke and Brett Harvey recently attended the Harold Pump Cancer Foundation Dinner at the Beverly Hills Hotel. More than $500,000 was raised in honor of Harold Pump, father of David and Dana Pump, the brothers who run Double Pump and donate the money to the Harold and Carole Pump Department of Radiation Oncology and the Carole Pump Women's Center at Northridge Hospital Medical Center.

The dinner culminates a weekend of activity that includes networking sessions and a golf tournament. The 2008 dinner honorees were Tennessee women's basketball coach Pat Summitt and NFL Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway. Other guests included actor Denzel Washington, NBA Hall of Famers Oscar Robertson and Jerry West, boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, MLB Hall of Famers Ozzie Smith and Eddie Murray, NBA All-Star Gary Payton, MLB all-time hits leader Pete Rose, NBA coaches Rudy Tomjanovich and Mike Dunleavy Sr., NFL Hall of Famers Marcus Allen and Anthony Munoz and Tennessee men's coach Bruce Pearl.
