Harvey's Nine Points Helps Hudson Valley To ESG Win

Baltimore, Md. - Greyhounds junior guard Brett Harvey was selected for the Hudson Valley entrant at the 31st Annual Empire State Games which are being held this weekend in Binghamton, N.Y. The defending silver medalists, Hudson Valley opened pool play Thursday afternoon with a 97-84 win over Central.

Harvey, who is playing on a team that includes MAAC foes Kashif Pratt (Iona) and Ryan Schneider (Marist), tallied nine points with three field goals (one three-pointer) and two free throws. The three-game pool play continues Friday when Hudson Valley plays New York City and concludes Saturday against Long Island. Both games are scheduled for 4 o'clock with all the action taking place at the Binghamton University Events Center. Medal play will be held Sunday morning. Results can be located by clicking here .

Harvey will be one of two returning starters when the Greyhounds open their season on November 14 by hosting Mount St. Mary's at Reitz Arena.
