Baltimore, Md. - Head Coach Jimmy Patsos has announced that Loyola College will play local rivals American, Towson and UMBC as well as ACC foe Virginia and Big East opponent Providence in 2005-06. The Greyhounds will once again meet Johns Hopkins in an exhibition and open the season at Towson on November 19.
The non-conference schedule includes Loyola's home opener with UMBC on November 27 and a home game with American on November 30. The longest college basketball rivalry in the state of Maryland will continue with a trip to Mount St. Mary's on December 3.
A pair of MAAC games in mid-December (yet to be determined) will be followed by a visit to Charlottesville for a December 22 game with Virginia. A return trip to VMI (December 29) and a New Year's Eve game at Delaware close out the calendar year while a January 3 game at Providence closes out the non-conference slate.
