The duo is two of the five-person team that includes Bucknell University's Nana Foulland, Boston University's Cheddi Mosley and Lehigh University's Kahron Ross.
Through the end of the regular-season, Gregory and Walker were the top freshman in the League in rebound and scoring, respectively.
"We are proud of Andre, Cam and the rest of our freshmen class for their efforts in their first season at Loyola," said G.G. Smith, Loyola's head coach. "Andre and Cam have shown that they are going to be great players in the Patriot League during their careers, and we believe this award is going to be the first of many for them."
Gregory leads the Greyhounds and is third overall in the Patriot League in total rebounds (204) and rebounds per game (7.0). He had seven games with 10 or more rebounds, including two in which he posted double-doubles.
He led Loyola in rebounding in 19 of 29 regular-season games,; he also finished the year fifth on the team in scoring (7.0) and led the Greyhounds in field-goal percentage (51.0). Gregory posted his first double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds on Dec. 6, 2014, against Mount St. Mary's University, and he closed the regular-season with team-highs of 13 points and 11 rebounds against the U.S. Naval Academy on Saturday.
Walker has led Patriot League freshmen in scoring throughout the season and has scored 10 or more point sin 17 of the Greyhounds' games, leading Loyola in scoring seven times, while he has also posted team-highs in steals 17 times and assists on 13 occasions.
His 10.4 points per game mark is third on the team this year and No. 20 in the conference through 29 games. Walker has led Loyola in scoring over the last 14 contests of the regular-season, averaging 12.5 per game during that stretch.
Walker posted a season-high 21 points on Feb. 22, leading the Greyhounds to a triple-overtime victory against Colgate University, a game in which he scored game-tying baskets at the end of regulation and the first overtime, and he tallied the game-winning basket in the final period. All three of the baskets came with fewer than seven seconds on the clock.
In addition to his scoring, Walker is tied for second in the Patriot League in total steals (51), is ninth in free-throw percentage (79.1), and he is 15th in assists per game (2.3). He also has averaged 4.2 rebounds per game, the third-best mark on the team.
Gregory, Walker and the Greyhounds open play in the Patriot League Championships on Tuesday, March 3, in the first round against College of the Holy Cross. The Crusaders will host Loyola at 7 p.m. in Worcester, Massachusetts.
