Baltimore, Md. - Wednesday night is Senior Night as Loyola honors seniors Josko Alujevic and Shane James who will be playing in their final games at Reitz Arena. There is also a game to be played as the Greyhounds host Rider in another key MAAC contest.
A win for Loyola clinches a bye into the quarterfinals at the conference tournament next month and also would establish a school record for conference victories in a season with 11.
Health has been a concern for the Greyhounds as it enters the penultimate week of the regular season. Juniors Hassan Fofana and Michael Tuck saw action over the weekend for the first time after missing 15 and five games, respectively. Junior forward Omari Isreal was battling flu-like symptoms Sunday, yet played 32 minutes and led the team in scoring with 13 points and junior guard Gerald Brown was hospitalized overnight Sunday after suffering from dehydration and exhaustion.
After tonight, the final non-conference game of the season is on tap Saturday at Tennessee State in Nashville, Tenn. The MAAC regular season wraps up the following weekend with tne annual trip to Western New York to take on Canisius (Friday) and Niagara (Sunday).
