Cal-Davis To Be Men's Basketball Final Non-Conference Opponent

Feb. 4, 2008

Baltimore, Md. - The California-Davis Aggies have been assigned to be the men's basketball team's opponent for the game coming from the pool of BracketBusters teams that is scheduled for Reitz Arena on February 23. Loyola will return the game to California next season.

This is the third season that Loyola has participated in the event and the Greyhounds have won the February contest in each of the previous two seasons. In 2006, Loyola hosted High Point and recorded a 77-71 home win and last season the Greyhounds traveled to Tennessee State and left with a 62-60 victory. UC Davis from the Big West Conference is participating in the event for the first time. The Aggies sport an 8-13 record and are 1-10 on the road through February 4.

Game time for the contest is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.

Loyola (13-10, 8-3) continues its four-game road trip Tuesday night with a MAAC contest when it visits Niagara University. Tip time is 7 o'clock and is available on Baltimore's ESPN Radio 1300.
