Men's Basketball To Host High Point In BracketBusters Event

BALTIMORE, Md. - The Loyola College men's basketball team will host High Point University as part of ESPN's BracketBusters presented by eBay event in the first-ever meeting between the two teams. The game is scheduled for February 17 at Reitz Arena with tip-off set for 7:00 p.m.

As part of the agreement, Loyola will also play at High Point during the 2006-2007 season in either November or December.

Now 11-8 on the season, the Greyhounds are coming off an 86-78 loss to conference rival Marist on Monday night. Senior guard Andre Collins led Loyola with a game-high 30 points in the loss, upping his season average to 27.3 points per game. The conference leader in scoring, Collins ranked second in the nation in scoring average as of January 23.

The High Point Panthers are 11-7 on the season following a 64-45 win over UNC Asheville on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore forward Arizona Reid leads High Point in scoring, averaging 19.8 points per game after a 15-point, 11-rebound outing on Saturday.
