Baltimore, Md. - Their win streak extended to seven straight conference victories following a pair of road league wins, the Greyhounds return home for tonight's game against Manhattan. The seven straight wins have vaulted Loyola into sole possession of first place in the MAAC standings, a full game ahead of the Jaspers.
Junior guard Gerald Brown poured in 31 points for his fifth 30+ effort of the season as the Greyhounds won at Rider Sunday, 78-73. Junior forward Michael Tuck and sophomore guard Marquis Sullivan each added 14 points in the win.
The Jaspers had their six-game winning streak snapped Sunday at home with an 80-69 defeat at the hands of Siena.
The two met earlier this season and Loyola posted a 77-58 win at Manhattan. Four Greyhounds scored in double figures, led by Brown's 16 points. Tuck added 15 while Sullivan and senior forward Josko Alujevic each tallied 14.
Loyola hits the road again this weekend with a one-game trip to Iona Saturday. Game time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
