Men's Basketball Continues To Gain Fans

BALTIMORE, Md. - Recently, "Nasty" Nestor Aparicio of WNST-AM 1570 saw the Greyhounds defeat Niagara and commented about the experience.

Here were his comments on the WNST site following his visit, showing his appreciation for the Greyhounds.

"I attended my first local college hoops game of the year on Friday night, sitting courtside at Reitz Arena as Jimmy Patsos' Loyola Greyhounds put Niagara out of their misery. If you haven't been over to Cold Spring Lane lately, much has changed since your last visit. Celebrities, a packed house, the awesome Poly Western band plays during breaks and halftime - and they're winning games and entertaining the crowd! I don't know what more you could possibly ask for in a local college program. By the way, as a personal favor to Patsos who we like immensely here at WNST, we are taking applications for who wants to dry clean his suits after the game. He's definitely a disciple of Gary Williams, no doubt about that!"

Off to their best start since the 1941-42 season, the Greyhounds look for their third straight win on Thursday night when they travel to Canisius College for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
