BALTIMORE, Md. - After scoring a game-high 36 points in Saturday's win over Delaware, Greyhound senior Andre Collins was named as the Mid-Majority Baller of the Day by midmajority.com.
Collins, who made 13 of 24 field goal attempts, led the Greyhounds to their first-ever win at the Bob Carpenter Center in three all-time visits. The 13-point victory was Loyola's second straight and upped the Greyhounds' record to 7-2 on the year.
Collins now leads the Greyhounds in scoring with a 25.6 point per game average, which ranks fifth nationally. He is also averaging 5.1 assists per game.
The Greyhounds, who shot 63 per cent in the win over the Blue Hens, conclude their four-game road trip on Tuesday evening when they face Providence College beginning at 7:30 p.m. Loyola returns home on Friday night to face Niagara University with tip-off set for 7:00 p.m.
