Cross Country Well Represented On MAAC All-Academic Teams

BALTIMORE, Md. - Senior Caitlin Dunne was one of eight members of the Loyola College women's cross country squad to be selected to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Team, it has been announced by conference officials.

In addition, three members of the Greyhound men's cross country team were given All-Academic Team honors out of 46 athletes.

Dunne, who earned the MAAC individual title at the conference meet on Friday afternoon, was named to the team for the third straight season. She was joined on the team by junior Colleen Depman , sophomore Bethany Gentry , junior Michelle McVann , sophomore Allison Riley , junior Andrea Rovegno , sophomore Caroline Scott and junior Sarah Spencer , who was named to the squad for the second straight year.

Junior Patrick McCadden led a trio of Greyhound men's runners on the All-Academic Team. He was joined by sophomores Brian Parker and Andrew Rice .

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution, be a significant starter or reserve and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
