CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Loyola University Maryland cross country senior Kiera Harrison was named the Patriot League Women's Runner of the Week for the second-consecutive week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Harrison earned her second weekly honor after winning the Leopard Invitational on in Easton, Pa., on Saturday. She finished the 6k course in 21:44.87 to become the second Greyhound to win a meet in as many years. Jackie D'Antonio, a 2013 alumna, won the Tribe Open last season in Williamsburg, Va.
Harrison earned her first weekly honor after finishing the Paul Short Invitational ahead of all other Patriot League female contestants. The senior distance runner finished 21st among 406 participants in the Lehigh Valley.
Harrison and the Greyhounds will return to the site of her winning outing to compete in the team's first-ever Patriot League Championships hosted by Lafayette College. The meet is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 2, starting at 11 a.m.
