BALTIMORE - Loyola University Maryland alumnus Stephen Febish '11 won the Baltimore Running Festival Half-Marathon on Saturday, edging the second-place finisher by nearly two minutes.
Febish, who was named the men's cross country team's Most Valuable Performer in 2010, clocked a time of 1 hour, 11 minutes and 48.41 seconds, covering the 13.1-mile course in a 5:28 pace.
He led throughout the half-marathon, coming through the 5.7-mile checkpoint in 30:31. Febish had built a lead of just over 32 seconds by that point, and he extended it to 1:56 by the end, topping the second-place finisher, David Kidd, by that margin.
