BALTIMORE - The Loyola women's cross country team was ranked 15th in the Mid-Atlantic Region this week by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, marking the first time since the end of the 2005 season the squad has been ranked.
Last Friday, the Greyhounds ran a strong team race at the Paul Short Run, finishing 31st as a team.
The women's team were last ranked at the end of the 2005 campaign when they were 12th in the Mid-Atlantic.
Loyola's women and men will take the next week off before traveling to the Princeton Invitational on October 18.
