Sept. 25, 2007

Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola men's cross country team has attained its highest-ever regional ranking with a No. 14 position in this week's Mid-Atlantic poll. The Greyhounds, who are the only team without a men's track program in the poll, have two Top-10 finishes in their races this season.

The `Hounds placed fifth at Mount St. Mary's and seventh at Navy and had junior Chris Heibell named MAAC Cross Country Men's Runner of the Week after his school record time of 25:03 in the 8K at Navy. The men look to move up the ranking with a solid finish at this weekend's Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa.
