NEW ORLEANS - The Loyola University Maryland men's and women's cross country teams earned 2015 All-Academic Team honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
This year’s honor marked the ninth-consecutive year the women’s team received such honors, as the Greyhounds posted a cumulative grade-point average of 3.45.
Loyola’s men’s team tallied a 3.21 GPA and earned their second-straight national honor from USTFCCCA.
Loyola’s women posted the highest GPA among the six women’s teams honored from the Patriot League, while the Greyhounds were one of five League schools to have both their men’s and women’s teams earn all-academic honors.
To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the squad must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00-or-better and have started at least five individuals at their respective NCAA regional championship.
