Cross Country Competes At Paul Short Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Senior Caitlin Dunne finished in 25th place as the Greyhound women's cross country team finished in 41st place at the 2005 Paul Short Run at Lehigh University on Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, junior Brendan O'Kane led the Greyhound men's team to a 43rd place finish by completing the course with a time of 25:57.6, which was good for 179th place.

Dunne finished the course with a time of 21:18.7 to help the Greyhounds in the race. It was her second straight top finish for the Greyhounds.

Freshman Maureen Wynne finished in 200th place and second on the team with a mark of 23:14.8, while junior Jackie Gaines followed with a time of 24:01.4, good for 256th place.

Sophomore Brian Parker crossed the finish line with a time 26:21.7 to finish second on the Loyola squad and 227th overall. Senior Patrick Rice ended the race in 249th place with a time of 26:40.9 and was followed by freshman Keith Forlenza in 263rd place.

The Greyhounds return to action on Friday afternoon at the Maryland State Cross Country Championships at Oregon Ridge Park.
