ANNAPOLIS, Md. - C.J. Cash and Jordan Kuchta won their 24th doubles match of the year, setting a school single-season record and helping Loyola University Maryland win the doubles point, but the U.S. Naval Academy came back to win five-straight singles matches for a 5-2 Patriot League victory Wednesday afternoon.

Cash and Kuchta defeated Cameron Kirkpatrick and Andrew Hicks, 6-1, at No. 3 doubles to eclipse the 23 victories posted in 2013 by current teammate Connor Pietrak and Bobby Gorczakowski '13.

Blest Jones and Brett Shriver outlasted Austin Joens and Tucker Massie, Navy's No. 1 doubles team for a 7-6 (5) victory that clinched the doubles point for the Greyhounds, but the Midshipmen then took control of the contest in singles play.

Thomas Pecor beat Kuchta, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 1, and Walker Sims downed Tyler Blessing, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 2 for the Midshipmen.

Krishna Jana got past Reid Burch, 7-5, 6-1, at No. 3, and Alex Gaines was a 6-1, 6-3 winner over Cash at No. 6.

Joshua Martin edged Blest Jones, 6-4, 4-6, (10-8), at No. 5, but Pietrak got a point back for the Greyhounds with a 6-3, 6-7 (6), (11-9) win at No. 4 over Andrey Majkic.

Loyola is back in action on Sunday, April 24, when it travels to Lafayette College for a 1 p.m. match.
