EASTON, Pa. - Loyola University Maryland women's tennis went on the road Tuesday and swept Lafayette College, 7-0, in a Patriot League match.
Amanda Lanciano and Ania Krawiec scored a decisive doubles win at No. 1 over Caroline Nixon and Rocine Moschella, while Emily Hughes and Haleigh Morgus topped Ally Simels and Catherine Senopoulos, 6-3, at No. 2.
In singles action, Hahn outlasted Nixon for a super-tiebreaker win at No. 1, 7-6 (4), 4-6, (10-6), and Lanciano downed Senopoulos, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 2.
Hughes then was also the benefactor of a super-tiebreaker at No. 3, defeating Moschella, 6-4, 5-7, (10-3). The remaining three Greyhounds won in straight sets.
Morgus beat Simels, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 4, and Clark topped Matthes, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 5. Nicole Eberle got past Reiling, 6-2, 6-2, in the final match.
