Women's Tennis Ties Hornets In Match Called For Darkness

BALTIMORE - Haleigh Morgus, Katelyn Hissong and Emily Huhges each won their respective singles matches, and Loyola University Maryland women's tennis tied Delaware State University, 3-3, in a match shortened by darkness on Friday evening.

Singles were played first due to the threat of precipitation, and Loyola was leading all three doubles matches when play was called.

Morgus rallied from a 6-2 setback from Ksenia Kozlova in the first set to beat the Hornets' No. 2 player, 6-3, 6-4, for a point in the second flight.

Hissong and Hughes had sweeps of Meheq Khokhar and Berendt Kahadakeen, 6-1, 6-0, and 6-0, 6-0, at No. 3 and 6 singles for the Greyhounds.

The Greyhounds are back in action with men's and women's action on Satruday, April 5, at 12 noon on Butler Courts at home.
