Greyhounds Stay Hot Against Randolph Macon

BALTIMORE - The Loyola University Maryland men and women's tennis teams continue to stay hot as they defeated Randolph Macon College Wednesday afternoon at Butler Courts, 7-0. 

Senior captain Bobby Gorczakowski teamed up with freshman Connor Pietrak to get things started at #1 doubles, winning 8-2. # 2 doubles Harrison Kunkel and Keishi Goto and #3 doubles Jordan Kuchta and Greg Olesnycky sealed the doubles point and the early lead with victories over the Yellow Jackets. 

In singles play, the squad never looked back as the Greyhounds won all six matches. Junior Connor Lisco powered through the #5 singles match with a solid 6-0, 6-0 for Loyola. 

The victory moves their record to 8-3 for the season. The men are on the road for their next match as they travel to Staten Island, New York to face Wagner on Saturday. Start time is set for 12 p.m.

The women moved their win streak to five as they took down Randolph Macon, 7-0, raising their record for the season to 9-2. 

Tiffany Ash and Meredith Dwyer defeated the Yellow Jackets handily at #3 doubles, 8-0, to seal up the early point for the Greyhounds. 

In singles play, Megan Hahn, Emily Hughes and Ash all made it look easy, winning 6-0, 6-0, apiece. Sophomore Olivia Ott was close behind at #4 singles, defeating her opponent 6-1, 6-0.

The women look to extend their win streak as they head to Dover for a dual match against Delaware State Friday. Start time is set for 3 p.m.
