BALTIMORE - Jordan Kuchta set Loyola University Maryland men's tennis' career doubles victories record, winning the 65th of his tenure on the Evergreen Campus, and the Greyhounds edged the University of Delaware, 4-3, on Senior Day at the McClure Tennis Center.

Kuchta, who teamed with C.J. Cash to beat Colin Wong and Roy Cheng, 6-2, at No. 3 doubles, eclipsed the 64 doubles wins Bobby Gorczakowski posted from 2009-2013.

Loyola took an early lead in the match, winning all three doubles contests to claim the opening point.

Blest Jones and Brett Shriver beat Mike Furr and Blaise Casselbury, 6-3, in the top doubles flight, and Connor Pietrak and Alex Castro claimed a 6-2 victory at No. 2 against Tyler Flematti and Alex Sweet.

Kuchta was a straight-sets winner, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 1, and Pietrak took a 6-4, 6-1 decision at No. 4 against Casselbury, but the Blue Hens pulled out victories in the second, third and sixth flights.

Jones, however, won a tight three-set match to pull out the win for the Greyhounds. He split the opening two sets, 6-4, 6-7 (1) with Wong and came away with a 7-5 victory in the third for the victory.

Loyola is back in action on Wednesday, April 6, when the men's and women's teams travel to Emmitsburg, Maryland, to face Mount St. Mary's University at 3:30 p.m.
