LUTHERVILLE, Md. - Loyola University Maryland women's tennis lost just six points on Friday afternoon as the Greyhounds defeated visiting University of Maryland Eastern Shore, 7-0, indoors at the Greenspring Racquet Club.
The Greyhounds took the doubles point with ease as Amnada Lanciano and Ania Krawiec topped Meleque King and Alose Brown, 6-1, at No. 1. Julie Clark and Nicole Eberle then blanked Datonya Price and Crystal Crook, 6-0, at No. 2. Megan Hahn and Haleigh Morgus scored a No. 3 win by default.
In singles play, Hahn dispatched King in straight-sets, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 1, and Lanciano was a 6-1, 6-0 winner over Brown at No. 2.
Emily Hughes and Clark were winners by 6-0, 6-0, scores at No. 3 and 4 over Price and Crook. Eberle and Morgus then won by default.
The Greyhounds are back in action Saturday when the men's and women's teams travel to Bucknell University for Patriot League action.
