Fairfax, Va. - The Loyola University Maryland men's tennis team dropped a tough 4-3 decision Wednesday afternoon at George Mason University. The defeat lowered the Greyhounds' record to 6-2 on the season.
Sophomore Bobby Gorczakowski was Loyola's only double winner, collecting victories at No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles while teaming with senior Jamie Russo. The Greyhounds' other two points came from wins by senior Dan D'Agostino at No. 5 singles and freshman Connor Lisco at No. 6 singles.
The Patriots captured the doubles point to open the match and then collected wins at the top three singles positions to secure the victory.
Loyola's women's tennis team is back in action on Wednesday at the Butler Courts when it hosts Navy at 3 o'clock. Both teams open Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play on Friday when the Greyhounds host Manhattan, also at 3:00 p.m.
