Men's And Women's Swimming And Diving Break Into Mid-Major Rankings

BALTIMORE - The Loyola men's swimming and diving team earned a No. 24 ranking in the first CSCAA/ Division I Mid-Major poll.

The Greyhound women, meanwhile were in the `receiving consideration' category as one of the top teams just outside of the Top 25.

Loyola's men, who sport an 8-1 record thus far during the 2008-2009 season, earned 194.46 points in the computerized poll that takes into account each team's best dual-meet lineup.

The Greyhounds return to the pool on Friday, December 5, for the start of the two-day H2Ounds Invitational. This year's meet, which starts at 5 p.m. on Friday and continues at 10 a.m. on Saturday, features the men and women from Marist and Delaware, as well as the men from Villanova.
