Men's Swimming & Diving Cracks Mid-Major Poll

Nov. 18, 2009

BALTIMORE - Loyola University Maryland's swimming and diving team is ranked 21st in the opening CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Poll of 2009-2010.

The Greyhounds' women are in the `Receiving Votes' category, just outside the top 25. The poll is open to all schools who are not members of BCS Conferences, the Mountain West or Western Athletic Conferences.

Loyola's men have a 4-2 dual-meet record through the first month of the season with the Greyhounds only losses coming to George Mason and Navy. The Midshipmen are ranked No. 1 in the Mid-Major Poll.

Both the Loyola men and women are back in action December 4-5 when they host the H2ounds Invitational at the Mangione Aquatic Center. The Greyhounds will compete against Delaware, Iona and Marist at the meet.
