EDISON, N.J. - Loyola University Maryland senior Brad Reeser was named the Metro Atlantic Atheltic Conference's Men's Swimmer of the Week, following his performances in the Greyhounds' victories last Saturday.
Reeser won the 50- and 100-yard freestyles and was on the winning 400-yard freestyle relay team Saturday when Loyola defeated Georgetown, Seton Hall and Lafayette in men's swimming and diving.
The senior was neck-and-neck with Seton Hall's Stan Sadovsky in the 50 free, but Reeser touched the wall in 21.55, edging Sadovsky by 0.02 seconds.
Reeser then won the 100 free in 47.70. He swam the anchor leg on the 400 free relay, turning in a split of 48.03 to seal the victories in the meet's final event.
The Greyhounds return to the pool this weekend for the Thomas Murphy Invitational. The Greyhounds host Johns Hopkins, Richmond and St. Francis (Pa.) on Friday and Saturday, November 6-7, 2009, in the Mangione Aquatic Center.
