Reeser, Sterback Honored With MAAC Swimming And Diving Awards

BALTIMORE, Md. - Junior swimmer Ryan Reeser and junior diver Megan Sterback of the Greyhounds' swimming and diving teams have earned Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference weekly honors after leading the Greyhounds to their first wins of the season, it has been announced by conference officials.

Reeser was named as the men's Co-Swimmer of the Week along with Marist College sophomore Ralph Rienzo. Reeser won a pair of individual events and was part of the winning 200-medley relay team as the Greyhounds defeated Providence College by a 128-77 margin on Friday night. He earned first place in the 200-free (1:47.66) and in the 100-fly (:52.93) to help Loyola win 10 of 12 events in the meet.

Sterback was named as the women's Diver of the Week after winning both diving events in the Greyhounds' 133.50-108.50 victory over Providence on Friday night in the home opener. She recorded 226.50 points in the three-meter event, while registering 225.08 points in the one-meter event.

Marist College senior Jackie Fountaine was named as the women's Swimmer of the Week.

Loyola returns to action on Saturday when the Greyhounds host Georgetown University and Fairfield University at the Mangione Aquatic Center beginning at 1:00 p.m.
