Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola men's and women's swimming and diving teams return to action this Saturday at Seton Hall for a Quad Meet with Georgetown, Lafayette and the host Pirates. The diving competition will begin at 12 p.m., while the swimming portion of the meet is set to commence at 2 p.m.
The Greyhounds are off to a fast start this season, with the men defeating Boston College their last time out, and the women posting impressive results at St. Francis (PA) last weekend. In fact, freshman swimmer Caitlin Cassidy garnered MAAC Swimmer of the Week honors after Saturday's performance at St. Francis.
In that meet, Cassidy set a pair of pool records and lowered her Loyola record in the 100 Fly (58.92). Junior Tori Kamauff also won three events against St. Francis, while the men posted eight 1-2-3 sweeps two weekends ago at Providence and Boston College.
This Saturday's meet will be Loyola's first meeting with Lafayette. The Greyhounds, however, hosted both Georgetown at Seton Hall last season, defeating the Hoyas and falling to the Pirates in head-to-head competition.
The Greyhounds are competing in their fifth straight away meet to officially open the season, but do return home for their next three meets to close out the fall semester. The men are 4-1 on the year, while the women have a 3-3 record this season.
