Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola swimming and diving teams host Georgetown and Seton Hall in a non-conference tri-meet this Saturday at the Mangione Aquatic Center. The Greyhounds, who have a combined 10-3 record this season, race the Hoyas and Pirates at 2 p.m.
In two home meets this season, the Loyola men are 3-1 while the women are 3-2. The Greyhounds also defeated MAAC rival Fairfield in a tri-meet sweep on the road that included BIG EAST member Providence.
Last weekend at home, the men defeated NJIT behind strong performances across the board. Sophomore Ernest Verrico led a Greyhound sweep in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle events, while the Reeser brothers - senior Ryan Reeser and freshman Brad Reeser - claimed multiple victories in the convincing win.
Ryan Reeser, the MAAC Swimmer of the Week the first two weeks this season, also three school records this - one as an individual and two as a member of relay teams.
On the women's side, more records have fallen including ones set by senior Michelle Ryan, freshmen Megan Meyer, Megan Royer and Melissa White. Last weekend, Ryan and freshman Victoria Kamauff won two swim events apiece while senior Megan Sterback won her diving events on the 1- and 3-meter boards.
Saturday's race is the final tri-meet this fall. The Greyhounds host the Thomas Murphy Invitational on Nov. 10-11 and the H2Ounds Invitational the first weekend in December.
