Baltimore, Md. - Loyola College's Ryan Reeser (Glen Mills, PA/ Garnett Valley) and Megan Meyer (Orlando, FL/ Cypress Creek) have been named the MAAC Men's and Women's Swimmers of the Week, respectively. Loyola's Megan Sterback (Sayville, NY/ Sayville) has been named the MAAC Diver of the Week.
Reeser, a senior, won the 200-yard freestyle (1:43.72) and was a member of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay team. He also placed second in the 500-yard freestyle in the season-opening meet against George Washington, Navy and Catholic at Loyola's Mangione Aquatic Center last Saturday.
Meyer, a freshman, broke a 12-year-old Loyola record in the 100-yard butterfly (59.97). The Greyhound rookie also finished second in the 200-yard butterfly and placed fourth in the 200-yard IM against the Washington, D.C. foes for an impressive debut.
Sterback, a senior and Loyola points record holder, won the 3-meter diving event by registering a score of 228.7. She also placed third in the 1-meter diving competition with 197.18 points.
The Greyhounds are at conference opponent Fairfield this Saturday, taking on the Stags and Providence College in a double dual-meet beginning at 1 p.m.
